Facelift surgery is one of the most popular procedures I perform for women and men. The cost of a facelift in the Scottsdale-Phoenix area typically ranges from $15,000 to $25,000* at our practice, depending on several factors.
Factors Influencing the Price of a Facelift
When you’re comparing the cost of facelift surgery at different practices, it’s important to make sure you’re comparing apples to apples. Factors that can affect the cost of a facelift include the:
- Training and experience of the surgeon: A double board-certified facial plastic surgeon whose experience and training are focused exclusively on facial plastic surgery has a level of expertise unmatched by general plastic surgeons.
- Technique used: Whether you’re a candidate for a mini facelift or a deep plane facelift will affect the cost of the procedure.
- Type of anesthesia: Some surgeons may use a local anesthetic with light sedation during a less invasive facelift, while others use a general anesthetic with a board-certified physician anesthesiologist.
- Time in the operating room: A more extensive procedure or one that’s combined with other procedures requires more time in our AAAHC-accredited surgical center.
- Choice to combine a facelift with other procedures: Many facelift patients choose to address additional signs of aging, such as sagging eyelids or loose neck skin.
Your Facelift Options
I create personalized surgical plans for each facelift surgery after discussing the patient’s concerns and examining the quality and tone of their skin. As mentioned above, the cost of a facelift greatly depends on the technique used, the extent of the surgery, and whether I perform other procedures during the operation.
Cost of a Mini Facelift
The price of a mini facelift ranges from $15,00 to $20,000. A mini facelift, sometimes called a short-scar facelift, is less invasive than a traditional facelift procedure. The primary difference between a mini facelift and a traditional or deep plane facelift is that it isn’t appropriate for patients with sagging neck skin.
Cost of a Deep Plane Facelift
The price of a deep plane facelift ranges from $18,000 to $25,000. As its name suggests, the deep plane technique is more invasive than a mini facelift and is considered the gold standard for facelift procedures. In addition to lifting the tissues and muscles underlying the skin, a deep plane facelift minimizes tension so the results look natural.
Getting a Facelift in Scottsdale
The location of a plastic surgery practice also influences the cost of a facelift. In general, you’ll pay more for plastic surgery in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles than in many other areas of the country. Women and men considering facial plastic surgery in Los Angeles often travel to the Scottsdale-Phoenix area for facelift surgery at our practice.
